Naturkartan - Nature map

With Växjö Naturkarta (Nature Map) it will be easier to find your way out in nature. The nature map is available both on the web and as an app for mobile.

Through the nature map you can find running trails, hiking trails, nature reserves as well as barbecue and swimming areas. In Växjö you can find both quiet bird watching and mountain biking areas for those who want more action.

The nature map is Växjö Municipality's ambitious effort to gather all nature experiences in one place. There are no less than 443 places, areas and trails to enjoy the outdoor environment. The nature map contains 101 marked trails for hiking, running, trail running and cycling. Everything from Sigfridsledens 10 km to the trail in Asa nature reserve which is 400 meters long.

For every place that is highlighted on the Nature Map there is information about whether it is wheelchair friendly and whether it is possible to reach by stroller. There is also information about parking facilities or if it is easy to get to the place by public transport.

For those who like running there are a total of 40 rounds. Those looking for unspoilt nature have 26 nature reserves as well as the golden grain Åsnen national park to choose from. The municipality has also marked out barbecue areas, toilets and campsites.

The places that are included on the nature map have plenty of pictures. Many are exclusively taken for the 2017 launch and more are added afterwards.

In addition to photos, each site has a shorter text describing the area and what there is to do there. As a logged-in user, you can also write your own comment on the particular site that you have visited yourself.

The nature map is now found in many municipalities and some county boards around Sweden and has its basis in a government assignment. The Government believes that information about Sweden's nature and outdoor life can be improved and made more accessible to residents and visitors alike.
