In citynear lake Växjösjön, buoys are usually laid out for swimming training during summertime. These usually lie about 200 meters apart in the longitudinal direction of the lake. For swimming training in Växjösjön there are two good places to climb, either at Kampa Pillar or at the lagoon in Strandbjörket. This is outdoor life with the town around the knot. Lake Växjö is basically free of boat traffic.

For those who like swimrun and want to work out running and swimming in combination, Växjösjön and Trummen fit perfectly. Walking distances of one or several kilometers can easily be combined with swimming distances of a few hundred meters in all endless. Both lakes have many good jumping places for the one with shoes on the feet and the running trail Växjöåttan can run in both directions and is broken by stretches of water on the joint and the width.
