The medieval fairy tale castle of Teleborg is located south of the city center by Lake Trummen. It was built in 1900 as a wedding gift for Anna Koskull, upon her marriage to Count Fredrik Bonde af Björnö. Today, the castle is a hotel, restaurant and meeting place.

The castle was modelled on a German middle age castle. After the couple passed away, the castle was inherited by Christer Bonde, the nephew of Fredrik Bonde, since they did not have any children of their own. Christer used the castle as a school for young girls and later on as a castle guest house. Eventually, he moved in himself during the 1930's. When Christer died in 1956, his son Fredrik Ulf Bonde inherited the castle. He used it as a summer house until he sold it to Växjö municipality in 1964.

During the summer of 2017 and 2018, SVT, a tv-channel in Sweden, filmed a program called Stjärnorna på Slottet here, which translates to "The Stars at the Castle".
