Jägaregap is named after the sound between Lilla Jägareås and Stora Jägareås.
Jägaregap is named after the sound between Lilla Jägareås and Stora Jägareås. The nature reserve includes the two small islands to the east of Stora Jägareås, which are called Karinöarna. The nature reserve was founded in 1996, to preserve the valuable beech forests and pine tree forests, and the reserve consists of the same esker that can be found in the nature reserve Evedalsåsen. The spruce-dominated forest is approximately 200 years old. The birds Black-throated diver and osprey live in the reserve, and there is also a marsh. There are several barbecue places and also a walking path.
