Nearby the Kronoberg's Castle ruins and the café lies the home port of the steam boat S/S Thor, built in 1887. During the summer months S/S can take you out to Lake Helga's islands and through Sweden's most southerly lock, the lock in Åby. By the bridge deck of the steam boat you also find Kronobergs castle ruin and a nice summer café.

The steam boat is an absolute must for those who are interested in technological history. Both booked tours and regular trips: from the end of May to the end of August.
