Snugge, near Huseby, is the birthplace of the famous opera singer Christina Nilsson.

Snugge, near Huseby, is the birthplace of the famous opera singer Christina Nilsson. She was born in 1843 and was discovered at the age of 14 while singing at a market place in Ljungby. She studied music in Gothenburg and Stockholm. She came to Paris when she was 17 years old and made her debut at an age of 21. After Paris, she had a brilliant career which took her to the big opera stages i Paris, London, New York and St. Petersburg.

Christina bought Villa Vik in 1906, which she visited during the summers. She passed away in November 1921 and is buried in a mausoleum at Tegnérkyrkogården (The grave yard of Tegnér). Today, Snygge is a museum and is taken care of in a non-profit way by members of by Christina Nilssons relatives society. The society was formed in 1971. Snuggle was made a notable building in 2012.
