Gemla Toy museum
Gemla Toy museum Sweden's first toy factory was founded in Gemla in 1866.
Gemla toy museum is called Gemla leksaksmuseum in Swedish and was founded in 1866. Since then, various companies have produced toys on the premises. On the historic farm, houses a toy museum displaying a wonderful selection of wooden toys from the last 100 years. A photo exhibition of the toy museum can also be seen. In the main farmhouse, there is a room documenting the Life of Nobel laureate Pär Lagerqvist, who is originally from the area. There are also photographic records of the history of Gemla's paper production from 1745 to 1979.
Open by appointment and some Sundays during the summer.
